This Asus uses a Pioneer drive. Pioneer made the best drives. It’s flashed with custom firmware for a Pioneer UD04 drive to make it both LibreDrive enabled, (for MakeMKV), and UHD Blu-ray capable. It can read CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays, and 4K UHD Blu-rays. It can burn CDs, DVDs, BDs, and UHD BDs too. The standard UD03 version couldn’t handle UHD 4K BD. But, with the UD04 custom firmware, it can. It’s powered off a double USB lead. The manual states it needs this. You can’t power it off one USB. The lead is included. Previously used. These drives have been stripped, cleaned and tested. You can see a successful copy of my Mad Max UHD Blu-Ray, using MakeMKV, in the attached screenshots. Units come boxed with all originals. They're all warrantied for 12 months.
